We have been experiencing issues with our DNS routing and apologize for the outage.
Visitors at Lead Vocals can now browse our database of recordings for the purpose of practising their singing through the selection of a musical decade in addition to the year of the recording. We hope this will add to the versatility of discovering new music and artists to learn from.
… and a review about how visitors can utilize search on Lead Vocals. This quarter we worked on our visibility for search engines in the World Wide Web and expanded the way users can filter and browse music. The audience report is our interpretation of quarterly visitor demographics, this time for the third quarter 2016 which includes the months July, August, and September.
At Lead Vocals we are actively looking for opportunities to make the life of our visitors easier. We've just completed an extensive article about the different types of copyright licenses in music and have been reminded that any artist will get in touch with researching and obtaining music licenses at some point in time. We have arranged a way for our visitors coming from the United States to clear cover songs fast and easy. For Canadian and other visitors we have collected some additional information on the topic.
… or the story of how Lead Vocals came into existence. Our article releases have drawn a small but growing user base during the last months, so we decided to release a first audience report already now. We desire to update you on this subject on a quarterly base, starting with the second quarter 2016 which includes the months April, May, and June.
The Vocal Sheet Standard has been released to enable vocalists to understand a new piece of music better. It includes a symbolic system used in lyrics that carries additional instructions for the vocalist. We have made an update to the Standardization, which is now in Version 1.03.
Lyrics include the vocal message of a song. We can structure lyrics, so that its display also transports an idea of song structure. But a lyric sheet doesn't include much additional instructions for the vocalist. This is why we thought we would develop the Vocal Sheet Standard, which includes a symbolic system for the vocalist to understand a new piece of music better.
